Avalanche of Sorrows

Do you feel overwhelmed? Tired? Discouraged? Frustrated?
Are you experiencing a dreadful feeling of giving up? Hopelessness?

Well, you are not alone.  There are many believers who are enduring trials that are shaking their faith.  But nonetheless it is not meant to kill them.

I strongly believe that in this time of shaking, God is reestablishing a firm foundation that has weakened through times of adversity in the life of the believer.  God is preparing those to stand in what lies ahead.  They will not survive unless their weakened foundations are torn and rebuilt. Only the LORD knows the true spiritual condition one is in because the heart is deceitful above all things.  We may think we have crossed all the "i's" and "t's" in our spiritual journey and our foundation is secured but God sees what we cannot.

Rest assure that He is with you in the shaking and will rescue you out of the avalanche of sorrows! Trust Him.  Rest in Him.

WAKE UP MOMMY! A Testimony of Abortion & Forgiveness

Can you feel me?
I’ve arrived!
The uneasy feeling you experience is me hiding inside!!

Yes, I came unexpectedly!
But don’t be sad, you knew this was possible as you lay secretly with dad.

I can sense your concerns whether to let me live or die. Mommy, I know you're scared but so am I.

I want to live! My soul, do keep.
I want to live! Oh mommy awaken from your sleep.

“It’s safer to abort than to give birth", they say. Can’t you see you’ve become the enemy’s prey?

Do you really think they care for your well-being? There’s something else you’re just not seeing!

That’s what THEY want you to think. But it’s a trap from the enemy for your soul to sink.

He will enslave you the moment I die, with guilt and shame that will kill you inside.
Wake up and see the lie; in the midst of abortion, not only I, but YOU also die!!

Mountain Moving Faith

"I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them." ~ Mark 11:23

What is faith?  Hebrew 11: 1 (NASB) says "Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen."  To make it clearer the Living Bible Paraphrased translation says it like this:  "What is faith? It is the confident assurance that something we want is going to happen. It is the certainty that what we hope for is waiting for us, even though we cannot see it up ahead."

Who do we place our faith in? In Jesus!  "Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son." (John 13:14 ESV)

Let me say that the "whatever" or "want" or "things hoped for" must be aligned to God's will. God is more interested in giving us what we need rather than what we want.  He knows what is best at that moment we are asking.  If something we prayed for has not come to pass, we may want to examine ourselves before we make assumptions that He said "no" or does not care for us. These are a few possible reasons that will hinder our answers:

Living on the Outside: Dying in the Inside

Today you have many women who are so heavily burdened hiding behind smiles.  Yes, they seem to have it all together on the outside but inside they are dying.  They live each day creating false hopes in order to survive.  They tired themselves out with work, exercising,  activities, shopping and ministry - just to keep them from thinking, feeling and being alone with themselves.

There is this emptiness they cannot fill.  Tears saturate their pillows night after night as they cry out "I can't do this anymore!"  Their strength is spent and cannot lift their eyes up to Jesus because their burdens are so heavy.

For instance, there was a woman who was sitting in the synagogue (church) one Sabbath day.   She was so overcome with her burdens that she could not lift herself up to see that she was in the presence of the ONE who is able to heal her and make her whole.

In Luke 13:10-11 it reads "Now He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath.  And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bent over and could in no way raise herself up. "

I DECLARE THAT YOUR NAME IS JOSEPH!

Copyright 2011 Theresa Harvard Johnson

This morning, I heard the Lord say this to me:
"I DECLARE that your name is Joseph!"

Immediately, I knew that Father was not only speaking to me, but to His remnant. We all know the story of Joseph and transpired in His life. This declaration that I received is simply a strong admonishment to us today to HOLD ON to the DREAM, to HOLD ON to the promises that He has spoken over your life.

I began to REBUKE the Dream Killers, in Jesus Name! Declaring that you will be able to RESIST the temptation to:

  • Fall Prey to disappointment, disillusionment and discouragement;

  • Succumb to unforgiveness, bitterness and the fallout of treachery of assaults from the brethren;

  • Succumb to the cunning wiles and trickery of Potifer's wife; and

  • Give in to the "visual" hopelessness of your present situation or circumstance!

DREAM KILLERS are moving through the congregation in this hour -- SEEKING to devour God's people.
