Spiritual Vision Boards
Redefining Your "Wants" for Your "Needs"
“Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth." ~Colossians 3:2
I finally entered the world of "Pinterest" and I created two boards - one to inspire women entitled "I am Beautiful, I am Victorious and I Am a Woman of God" and another for married couples "Married For Life".
As I was adding contents to these boards I felt a leading of the Holy Spirit to create another one but this one would be called "Spiritual Vision Board". This board would consist of specific spiritual things that I seek after rather than a general vision board that consists of things I want, life ambitions and goals.
I took a moment to reflect on what those things may be and it just dawned on me that the things that were coming to mind where things that God desires that I walk in and possess. They consisted of characteristics and attributes (Christ-likeness), spiritual gifts, prophetic words given, and spiritual goals. Each vision is accompanied by scripture.
As I began to post the desires placed in my heart, I felt a wave of excitement and encouragement rising within. I was also inspired to see this as a tool that serves as a reminder to keep focused as well as prayer points made available with scripture so I may pray God's word over it accordingly. We all know the power of praying God's word! When we speak aloud, decreeing a thing, it is established! (Job 22:28)
When I accomplish a particular spiritual goal, I will replace them with new ones and continue to add to the board as Holy Spirit leads. There is much that I still need to add but I took a break to share it here with you.
I encourage you to visit my "Spiritual Vision Board" and consider doing the same. Whether you create an online board or a physical board on your wall, pray and allow Holy Spirit to lead you in what God desires for you to spiritually seek after in order "to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God." (Ephesians 4:1)
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. ~ Jeremiah 29:11
