While on the road a Penske truck drove past me and my eyes were drawn to the words inscribed on the truck: Dedication at every turn. The LORD spoke to me through this:
"When in transition dedication is required at every turn!"
Dedication is defined as the quality of being dedicated or committed to a task or purpose. Notice that it says "every turn" which indicates that there is going to be several turns during the transitioning. Most times weariness, discouragement and doubt take place after the first couple of turns. We begin to question God's move. However, we must understand that we are not in the driver's seat. We are the contents being moved! Therefore the operator knows which turns to take. He has the map of destination. What is required of us is obedience and commitment to the plans He has for our lives. (Jeremiah 29:11)
God will not take the nearest route as most suppose. There is purpose in the journey toward destination. Each turn will develop character, trust, obedience, faith, perseverance, and train us for warfare. (Do we honestly think that the enemy of our soul will not fight every move of God in our life?)
"So it happened, when Pharaoh let the people go, God did not lead them by way of the land of the Philistines, even though it was nearer; for God said, "The people might change their minds when they see war [that is that there will be war], and return to Egypt." - Exodus 13:17 AMP
God's thoughts and ways are not ours! (Isaiah 55:8) In knowing this we should not be surprised when He leads us through what seems a dead end road. Remember He led the Israelites to the Red Sea. Talk about a dead end road! Imagine their surprise as they faced the sea while their enemies were approaching from behind! This "turn" served a purpose in demonstrating the power, faithfulness and glory of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Abraham, the Mighty One who was leading them through Moses! He parted the Red Sea and paved the way for them to continue their journey to the next place, the next turn!
Disobedience and lack of faith in God kept a people from reaching the promised land. They complained, murmured at every turn in the wilderness instead of trusting God. Do not hinder your journey by doing the same. Make a choice to be committed to God despite of. Re-surrender and be dedicated at EVERY turn as you transition into destiny!!
Blessings...
You are right, when we trust God’s process, then everything comes into place.
