At our "Pursuing Holiness" gathering, one of the "hard" things the LORD had me release or rather expose was the deception of the enemy in Facebook. Believe me it was not part of my message.
Those who follow Christ, know what the word says about horoscope, tarot card reading, ouija board, seeking a psychic to inquire of the future - it is witchcraft. As Christians we know better and we won’t open those doors. Right?
However, the enemy has cunningly found another way to get the doors cracked open. All these quizzes that foretells our future, tells us who we are, and prophesy our gifts and callings have become an avenue the enemy has used to lure many unknowingly into witchcraft. “Surely, its all in fun. There’s no harm. That’s superstitious. Lighten up. You take this God thing too serious. That’s legalism. You’re so heavenly minded that you are of no earthly good” say the enemy. He is a liar. He knows how social media has become the platform for his devices. He hides between the good that social media can be in connecting with people and sharing the word of God. He takes the opportunity to make his way through. Intertwining his deceptive traps with something that appears to be harmless.
I, myself fell for the trap. I saw everyone’s readings and most were so on point. I wondered how they get their information. However, there was such a conviction when I clicked on it. I could not continue to post my results. The LORD began to show me how it was likened to witchcraft. I repented since and closed whatever crack I opened.
Please hear the heart of the Father. He does not condemn but He convicts from a place of a Father’s love. What parent knowing the dangers of something would allow their child to pursue their curiosity? No parent will. Their love for their child will cause them to intervene and tell them the tough things they don’t want to hear but what they NEED to hear. They risk the child throwing a tantrum and becoming angry to a point of giving them the silent treatment. So as parents, if we find it necessary to confront, warn and correct to protect our child, how much more our Father in Heaven will do for us, His children.
Those difficult, hard, and tough things we don’t want to hear are in place in the Bible for our protection. He sets boundaries. Just as He set the perimeters of the ocean so that the water will not overtake the land and its people, so He sets boundaries for us so the enemy cannot overtake us.
On hearing this, many of His disciples said,“This is a difficult teaching. Who can accept it?” Aware that His disciples were grumbling about this teaching, Jesus asked them, “Does this offend you? The Spirit gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life. However, there are some of you who do not believe.From that time on, many of His disciples turned back and no longer accompanied Him. So Jesus asked the Twelve, “Do you want to leave too?” (John 6:60,61,63,66,67)
The Message paraphrases verse 60 and 67 like this: Many among his disciples heard this and said, “This is tough teaching, too tough to swallow .After this a lot of his disciples left. They no longer wanted to be associated with him.
Jesus offended many in what He taught. He offended just by His Presence. Many will probably be offended with this message. It was not meant to offend but to expose the enemy. His strategy is to infiltrate without notice. However, God’s eyes are upon ALL things and what is hidden, God will bring to light and He uses messengers to sound the alarm and close the gates in which have been compromised.
I challenge you to ask God. Seek Him in this matter. Maybe it’s my conviction. Don’t take my word for it, take His. I cannot be selfish to keep myself safe and not others by not speaking of this. The Love of Father within, compels me to take the risk of being unfriended, losing friendship and connections but so did Jesus. I pray that you hear the heart of Father.

I love you in the love of Christ! Let’s not give the enemy anything he can work with. Instead let’s rise up and set up guard, linking arms as the Body of Christ, denying him access! If you have opened this door, no need for condemnation. Confess, repent, rebuke and renounce. Scroll pass those quizzes and say “Satan get thee behind me” in Jesus Name!!!!! 
We don’t need validation from a FB quiz. We are already validated by Christ in who we are in Him and what He has called us for!!! If you don’t know what your gifts, talents, calling and purpose are, seek the ONE who created you and has the blueprint to the plans He has for you! Amen?
Father, I pray that this word that is being sent forth, will accomplish what You sent it for: to bring awareness of the enemy’s devices, to convict and bring forth repentance that closes the doors that have been opened. To serve the enemy notice that his deceptions have been exposed and to serve him notice that You are a shield of protection to those who take refuge in You. In Jesus Name. Amen.
