"Cry Out for My People" ~ Abba

Earlier this morning I set out to post part three of the message the LORD has given to me. The first was "Slaves in the Promised Land", second was "Subdued by the Spirit of Delilah" and the third was to be released today.  But instead I got distracted in the midst of posting and headed out to run an errand that quite frankly could have waited.

As I was on the road I began to sing a worship song and pray. All of a sudden, I heard "there is an urgency in the spirit".  The words were repeated again "there is an urgency in the spirit"!  What happened next totally broke me.  As I opened my mouth I began to cry out in tongues.  But these tongues were different and as they came forth, I can understand what was being said.  It was a  heart cry, an urgent plea from Abba for His children.  His words were piercing as I heard His voice tremble with compassion and anguish.  I can best liken it to a mother whose child has been kidnapped and pleas for their return.

"How often I have longed to gather MY children together as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings" (Matthew 23:27 emphasis added as I heard the LORD)  Come!  Come!" ~  Abba

He did not speak but rather there was a travail coming forth as He cried out these words.  In my 17 years of following Christ, I've NEVER heard Him as I have today.  I began to repent for allowing myself to be distracted when I should have finished the message - a message that was about and for His children.  A message that warns them of their condition so they may repent and turn back to Him before it's too late.

I then heard "Cry OUT for My People" "Cry OUT for My People".  Repentance came over me again.  I recognized the charge for intercession as a watchman on the wall.  He was calling me back into position - one that I had abandoned due to many factors that quite honestly are not justifiable.

I was undone by the urgency in His voice calling for "one" that will stand in the gap before Him for the land (Ezekiel 22:30).  I cried out for forgiveness and to be re-positioned back on the wall as one who watches and sounds the trumpet - warning others of the dangers approaching.  A watchman who listens to The LORD's forewarning and delivers the message. (Ezekiel 33:1-7)

As Intercessors, Prophets, Watchmen (Ezekiel 33), - we must remain on the wall. We must continue to "Cry Aloud and Spare Not" (Isaiah 58:1)  We must possess the compassion and anguish of the Father and "CRY OUT FOR HIS PEOPLE"....

The LORD said, "I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt, I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering. (Exodus 3:7)
