The LORD said to Satan, "Where have you come
from?" Satan answered the LORD, "From roaming throughout the earth,
going back and forth on it." ~ Job 1:7

They have set ambushes to target the core of man: the
heart. The heart is the seat of the soul
(mind, emotions, will) and we have
been admonished to guard it with ALL diligence:
“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the
issues of life.” ~ Proverbs 4:23
DILIGENCE: 1. Earnest and persistent application to an undertaking; steady effort; assiduity. 2.
Attentive care; heedfulness.
UNDERTAKING: the act of a person who undertakes any
task or responsibility.
We are to be earnest, persistent and attentive as we guard
our hearts. Why? In 1 Peter 5:8 it warns us “Stay alert! Watch out for your
great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for
someone to devour.” Be aware that he is also earnest,
persistent and attentive in his task.
If we are being cautioned to stay alert it is because we are
found slumbering and sleeping while the enemy and his cohorts are prepared for an
undertaking.
“…; for out of the heart are the issues of life.” Most heart issues can easily harden our hearts. If left unattended, corruption will eat its
way through. We all have experienced hardships, challenges, afflictions, loss,
temptations and offenses by those we know (loved ones, friends, church member)
and don’t know. Yet, we are given the
choice to respond positively or negatively.
You may ask “How can I have a positive response to something negative
done to me?” Well, you may want to
direct that question to the One who not only knows the answer but demonstrated
for us how: Jesus Christ!
Understand that if we choose to respond negatively in our
state of woundedness or anger, it will only breed rage, resentment, and bitterness
- yoking us into a spirit of unforgiveness – giving our great adversary legal access
into our life (Ephesians 4:27). Our
accuser than pulls the strings until he further controls every thought,
emotion, and will in order to position us where he wants us to be (out of God’s will).
Our reaction and what we become is our responsibility. It also
determines whether we become targets of his flaming arrows that are purposed to destroy us in these areas: mental, relational, emotional, financial,
spiritual and for some physical. It is
the enemy’s longing to destroy us because in doing so, everything that God has
purposed for you and I for this hour will die along with us until someone else is raised to fulfill it. Only you know what you
were given to birth; to release; to govern; to exercise; to subdue and
conquer.
Whatever caused your heart to become unguarded and cold, I admonish you to let it
go and forgive. It is not worth losing
who you are and what you were destined for.
Get rid of it quickly. "Settle matters quickly with your adversary
who is taking you to court. Do it while you are still together on the way, or
your adversary may hand you over to the judge, and the judge may hand you over
to the officer, and you may be thrown into prison.” (Matthew 5:25)
What I am about to say is for someone in particular or even maybe a few: Do not allow the adversary to gain the right to remove your
mantles –
garment worn by prophets and OTHER officials in authority to signify their
position and power to exercise dominion.
Mantles reflect latitude, stature, prestige, and provisions of the
wearer, as well as the license to act. (Prophet’s Dictionary )
Through the spirit of offense, faith came under attack and
many have handed over their garment unknowingly. Repent, forgive and renounce the spirit –
casting it out. Take up your mantle and
position yourselves for the undertaking you have been authorized for in this
time.
I pray that the intended recipient(s) of that word receive it
in Jesus’ Name.
Now, people of God, hold on to your faith because without faith it is impossible to please
Him (Hebrews 11:6). Faith comes by
hearing of the Word and if satan has you on strings, and blocked your ear gate, then how will we hear?
Also without the shield of faith we will NOT be
able to thwart the arrows targeted at us: “… take up the shield of faith, with
which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. (Ephesians
6:16)
Our faith is not in man but in God. Therefore be reminded
that we are living in perilous times - persecution and offense will come (Matthew 18:7). Quickly let it go!
Stay alert! Be sober! Be vigilant in guarding your heart!!!
“So,
as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of
compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; bearing with one
another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just
as the Lord forgave you, so also should you.” (Colossians 3:12)
God bless
